FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS
If you are unfamiliar with
The Sanctuary's, "And Still
We Rise..." Capital
Stewardship Campaign, you
may have pondered one or
more of the following
questions:
What is the "And
Still We Rise..."
Campaign?
"And Still We
Rise..." is a
spiritual
growth/biblical
stewardship campaign
designed to
strategically
position The
Sanctuary at Kingdom
Square to fulfill
the vision God has
given us to reach
people with the love
of Jesus, teach them
how to live the
Christ-centered,
victorious life and
release them to use
their God-given
gifts and abilities
to impact the
Kingdom of God.
Such a "God-sized"
vision takes a lot
of trust and
commitment to
accomplish. It
will take ALL of us
working together and
the results will be
eternal.
Thousands of lives
will be changed if
we all commit to the
vision.
Is now the right
time to launch a
stewardship campaign
given the current
economic situation?
In Scripture, we see
numerous examples of
God calling His
people to take
action when every
circumstance is
against them --
Noah, Abraham,
Gideon, David,
Esther, and Nehemiah
are just a few
examples. God
gives faith-building
assignments to
fulfill his
purposes, to unify
and rally His people
as well as prove His
faithfulness as
Provider. In
seasons of
sacrifice, He often
stretches our faith
so He can do
something new in us!
He is not trying to
get things from us,
but to get things to
us.
What are the
expectations from
the congregation?
Pastor Anthony G.
Maclin has asked
each of us to pray,
"God, what do You
want to do through
me to accomplish
Your will for this
church?" This
is going to take
sacrificial
participation of
every person who
calls The Sanctuary
their home church.
How will the
funds be raised?
The funds will be
raised through
commitment pledges
by our members
during our "And
Still We Rise..."
Capital Stewardship
Campaign over the
next three years.
What is the "And
Still We Rise..."
Campaign?
First pray.
Ask God what He
wants you and your
household to give,
over and above
regular giving, for
the future of the
ministry at The
Sanctuary.
Second, discuss at
home. A
sacrificial,
financial commitment
is one that affects
our lifestyle -- a
gift that actually
costs us something.
That gift will vary
from person to
person. We
encourage you to
spend some time in
prayer asking God
what He would have
you do. We are
asking each church
family household to
1) faithfully tithe
as we continue to
grow, 2) make a
three-year
commitment to give
above and beyond
their tithe to the
"And Still We
Rise..." Capital
Stewardship
Campaign, 3) begin
this designated
giving on March 21,
2010. Through
such a commitment,
we will fulfill
God's purposes for
our lives and
experience God's
blessing at a level
not seen before.
