First Lady Minister Peggy
D. Maclin
Minister
Peggy D. Maclin
is the second child of Irzeal and the late
Dorothy McDowell. She is a
native
Washingtonian and received her primary
education in the District of Columbia and
Prince George’s County Schools. Minister Maclin attended the Prince George’s
Community College and
Howard University and
has completed ministerial studies at Maple
Springs Baptist Bible College and Seminary.
She is currently pursuing a degree in
Pre-Seminary/Biblical Theology at Washington
Bible College. She is the wife of Pastor
Anthony G. Maclin of The Sanctuary at
Kingdom Square (formerly Glendale Baptist
Church) in Capitol Heights, Maryland, and
the mother of Krystle, a graduate of
Hampton
University, and Brandon, a student at
Berklee College of Music.
Minister Maclin was employed with the
Federal Government for 26 years and upon
retirement was a Financial Specialist at the
Environmental Protection Agency. She
presently serves as the Minister of
Member Retention where she plays a vital
role in keeping up with the membership at
The Sanctuary.
Minister Maclin takes a very active part in
many of the ministries at The Sanctuary. She
was active in the Deaconess, Missionary, and
Music Ministries of the church. She is
currently the Director of Women’s Ministries
and coordinator of the Minister's Wives
Ministry. She participates in the Christian
Education Ministry, and has taught Bible
Institute Classes and Sunday School Classes.
On July 20, 2003, Minister Maclin was
licensed by Pastor Maclin to preach the
gospel. God has allowed her to preach the
Word of God in Washington, D.C., Maryland,
Virginia, Pennsylvania and Florida. She is
known as a preacher/teacher who loves
sharing the Word of God.
